ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, i am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of

civilization behind. ive learned about the four great inventions made by our

forefathers. ive learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. ive learned about

zhang heng(张衡)and ive learned about zheng he(郑和) says the yellow river

civilization has vanished(消失)?i know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇迹)on

this fertile land and were still making miracles. who can ignore the fact that we

have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our

own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and

that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? we have experienced the plunders (掠夺) by

other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on such ruins, there still

stands our nation----china, unyielding and unconquerable!

sichuan, tens of thousands of people lost life and families. i’ll never forget those

days i sat front of the tv, moved by people never gave up under ruins even there’

s little hope to survive. i’ll never forget those days most newspapers and websites

were all in black and white.

writing down my best wishes to the suffering people. at the same time, i also remember those days my friends abroad told me that they

relay at hangzhou with heart shaped stickers on cheek. i wore the t-shirt with words

light the passion, light the dream . when the torch passed by, we cheered go china,

go beijing, sang the national anthem again and again, waving flags, dancing, hugging,

clapping.

it was the opening ceremony of 20xx beijing olympic games which shocked the whole

world and told the entire human yes, we can. yes, we can, because we are united and brave yes, we can because we have trust and love yes, we can because we are the member of the great nation china

me a new start so i have a dream that the future me can rise out this small world

and hold a place of myself, after several years’ experience .i think college is also a small society where i can improve myself example

i should learn how to get along with other though i may dislike them ,or how to deal

with things that i used regard as worthless and so onthen i sincerely hope i can find my true friends so that we can struggle for our

dreams together!
