in our whole lives,we'll meet too much people but only a few can be our best friends. when staying with them,we can release ourself completely. we can do whatever we want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry together. i should say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of our lives.

the principal of the school focuses on education rather than waste time in endless meetings and social activities. teachers’ wages are not high but enough to live comfortably. there are no other things to do except to teach. there are no paper requirements, no titles and no ranks because they don’t need to be judged by those things. almost every teacher is a well-known scholar and master in a particular field. a language teacher may be a writer at the same time. a math teacher may try to overcome a world-class guess. a physics teacher can win invention awards and a music teacher may return from an international music competition again.

i never had the courage to talk across a long, narrow room. i should be at the end of the room facing all the audience. if i attempt to talk across a room i find myself turning this way and that, and thus at alternate periods i have part of the audience behind me. you ought never to have any part of the audience behind you; you never can tell what they are going to do.

One day in 1819, 3,000 miles off the coast of Chile, in one of the most remote regions of the Pacific Ocean, 20 American sailors watched their ship flood with seawater.

They'd been struck by a sperm whale, which had ripped a catastrophic hole in the ship's hull. As their ship began to sink beneath the swells, the men huddled together in three small whaleboats.

These men were 10,000 miles from home, more than 1,000 miles from the nearest scrap of land. In their small boats, they carried only rudimentary navigational equipment and limited supplies of food and water.

These were the men of the whaleship Essex, whose story would later inspire parts of “Moby Dick.”

Even in today's world, their situation would be really dire, but think about how much worse it would have been then.

No one on land had any idea that anything had gone wrong. No search party was coming to look for these men. So most of us have never experienced a situation as frightening as the one in which these sailors found themselves, but we all know what it's like to be afraid.

We know how fear feels, but I'm not sure we spend enough time thinking about what our fears mean.

As we grow up, we're often encouraged to think of fear as a weakness, just another childish thing to discard like baby teeth or roller skates.

And I think it's no accident that we think this way. Neuroscientists have actually shown that human beings are hard'wired to be optimists.

So maybe that's why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself. “Don't worry,” we like to say to one another. “Don't panic.” In English, fear is something we conquer. It's something we fight.

It's something we overcome. But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?

It's easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid.

When I was a child, I lived in California, which is, you know, mostly a very nice place to live, but for me as a child, California could also be a little scary.

I remember how frightening it was to see the chandelier that hung above our dining table swing back and forth during every minor earthquake, and I sometimes couldn't sleep at night, terrified that the Big One might strike while we were sleeping.

And what we say about kids who have fears like that is that they have a vivid imagination. But at a certain point, most of us learn to leave these kinds of visions behind and grow up.

We learn that there are no monsters hiding under the bed, and not every earthquake brings buildings down. But maybe it's no coincidence that some of our most creative minds fail to leave these kinds of fears behind as adults.

在上国小的时候，家的院子里种了一棵梨树。秋天到了，树上结满了灯笼似的黄鸭梨。在一个阳光明媚的中午，我和爸爸正在午休，外面突然传来一阵急切的狗叫声，把我和爸爸吵醒了，我直接从床上跳下来，鞋都没穿，就跑出去看怎么回事，原来是几个跟我年龄差不多的男孩在摘梨，他一看我出来，直接从树上滑落下来，腿上蹭破了一层皮。爸爸见状，非但没有教训他们，还让那个男孩坐下。然后，拿来碘伏和纱布，帮那个男孩包扎好后。还亲自去树上摘下了几个梨，用塑料袋装好，让那几个男孩拿去了。他们走了之后，我问爸爸为什么要这么做，爸爸告诉了我什么叫宽容。

当一个人选择了计较，他头顶上的天空便是阴霾;当一个人选择了宽容，等待他的便是灿烂的笑容。古人云：“知错能改，善莫大焉。”既然如此，为何不多给别人一点宽容，多给别人一个改过的机会呢?宽容别人也是解放自己，让自己脱离一片仇恨的苦海，还给自己一片洁白的天空……

同学们，我们知道，人不可缺少水，如果没有了水，动物和人都无法生存。没有了水就没有了生命，没有了水，地球就是一片死寂。

大家知道，地球上的面积被水覆盖，然而却很少有人知道这么大的水量中可被人类利用的淡水总量只占地球上总水量的十万分之三，占淡水总蓄量的0.34%。目前，世界上已有超过一半的陆地面积，遍及一百多个国家和地区缺水，二十亿人饮水困难。而人类正以每15年增加1倍的淡水需求消耗着水资源。到目前为止，人类淡水消费量已占全世界可用淡水的54%。我国水资源总量为2.8万亿立方米，人均水量不足2400立方米，仅为世界人均水量的四分之一，居世界第110位，我国水资源总量中，可用水储量只有1.1万亿立方米，而目前用水量已达5600亿立方米，城市每年缺水60亿立方米，全国668个城市中有400多个供水不足，其中108个严重缺水。因缺水每年造成工业损失2300多亿元。

如果我们不节约用水，后果就会不堪设想。所以相对于不断发展的工农业生产和不断增长得人口，供我们使用的水是非常有限的，所以节约用水势在必行。

同学们，行动起来吧!节水行动就在你我的身边。

你可以在日常生活中随时随地的节约每一滴水。

下面，我给大家提几个节约用水的建议。

一，用淘米水洗菜，再用清水清洗，不仅节约了水，还有效地清除了蔬菜上的残存农药;

二，洗衣水洗拖帕，帚地板，再冲厕所。第二道清洗衣物的洗衣水擦门窗及家具，洗鞋袜等;

三，大，小便后冲洗厕所，尽量不开大水管冲洗，而充分利用使用过的"脏水";

四，夏天给室内外地面洒水降温，尽量不用清水，而用洗衣之后的洗衣水;

五，自行车，家用小轿车清洁时，不用水冲，改用湿布擦，太脏的地方，也宜用洗衣物过后的余水冲洗;

六，家庭浇花，宜用淘米水，茶水，洗衣水等;

七，家庭洗涤手巾，小物件，瓜果等少量用水。宜用盆子盛水而不宜开水龙头放水冲洗;

八，水龙头使用时间长有漏水现象，可用装青霉素的小药瓶的橡胶盖剪一个与原来一样的垫圈放进去，

可以保证滴水不漏;

九，将卫生间里水箱的浮球向下调整2厘米，每次冲洗可节省水近3kg;按家庭每天使用四次算，一年可节药水4380kg。

十，洗菜：一盆一盆地洗，不要开着水龙头冲，一餐饭可节省50kg;

十一，淋浴：如果您关掉龙头擦香皂，洗一次澡可节水60kg;

十二，手洗衣服：如果用洗衣盆洗，清衣服则每次洗，清衣比开着水龙头节省水200kg;

十三，用洗衣机洗衣服：建议您满桶再洗，若分开两次洗，则多耗水120kg;

十四，洗车：用抹布擦洗比用水龙头冲洗，至少每次可节水400kg;

十五，冲厕所：如果您使用节水型设备，每次可节水4一5kg;

十六，洗地板：用拖把擦洗，可比用水龙头冲洗每次每户可节水200kg以上;

是成为笑傲天穹的精灵，还是成为陆地上平庸的小丑，这一切都由你自己决定。当奥运健儿站在最高领奖台上，当国歌奏响、五星红旗缓缓升起的那个瞬间，我们看到是自豪、骄傲。可这自豪的背后又有多少不为人知的艰辛与汗水，要实现梦想就必须为之奋斗。战国时期的政治家苏秦。年轻时，学问不深，曾到好多地方做事，都不受重视。家人也瞧不起他。这对他的刺激很大。所以，他下决心发奋读书。常常读书到深夜，很疲倦，他便想出了一个方法，一打瞌睡，就用锥子往自己的大腿上刺一下。这样，猛然间感到疼痛，使自己清醒起来，再坚持读书。才有了“苏秦刺骨”的佳话。几千年前年轻的苏秦都懂得克制，更何况现在的我们呢?青春的日子请好好把握，不要等到梦里都麻木的一天，才懂得懊悔，更不要等到青春散尽的一天，才懂得珍惜。

九龙山位于县城的东部，像一条巨龙守护着人们。九龙山的一年四季都很美丽。

春天，九龙山上的树木抽出了新的枝芽，长出来嫩绿的叶子。小草也似乎听见了春风的呼唤，齐刷刷的钻出地面，吮吸着春姑娘馈赠的雨露。雪白的梨花，粉红的桃花，火红的映山红相继开放，你不让我，我不让你，给九龙山的春天披上一件五彩斑斓的外衣。

夏天，九龙山上绿色连着绿色。树木的枝条密密麻麻，把九龙山封的严严实实，成了一个巨大的“免费的遮阳伞”。老人在树荫下起了象棋，小孩子则在树下三个一群，五个一伙，似乎在讨论什么新鲜事物。夏天的九龙山充满了欢声笑语。秋天，九龙山由翠绿变成了金黄。从树上落下来的叶子就像一只金色的蝴蝶从树上飘落下来。山坡上满是色鲜味美的蘑菇和酸甜可口的山里红，秋天的九龙山就像一座丰富的“宝藏”等待着人们来“开采”。

冬天，一场大雪过后，银装素裹的九龙山进入了甜蜜的梦乡。九龙山的一年四季都很美丽，我爱家乡的九龙山。

如果你拥有朋友，就请你珍惜这份来之不易的友谊、珍惜你的朋友。诗人纪伯伦曾说过：“和你一同笑过的人你也许很快就把他忘却，而和你一同哭过的人你也许一生就会记住他。”其实道理很简单，因为与你一同笑过的人也许很多很多，然而，与你一同哭过的人，也许就是那么的几位!毕竟，哭泣是需要理由的，如果没有真实的情感，是永远也找不到哭的感觉。当你难过的时候，第一个想到的人就是你真正的朋友，因为在他的面前你不用再伪装，你可以尽情地倾诉你的烦恼!你一生中有这样的朋友，应该懂得珍惜。

有人说过：“亲情是天生的，爱情是靠缘分的，而友情却需努力争取的。”其实，朋友之间不需要太多的言语，友情更多的是需要用心的付出，用心去了解朋友，也让朋友用心去体会，只有双方共同用心的对待彼此，多些了解朋友的感受，给朋友多些体谅，如果朋友有什么缺点，但也不要感到厌烦，毕竟人无完人嘛。这样，不仅是生活上有朋友的关心与帮助，更重要的是内心的安慰与满足，彼此间的友谊也会长久!

让青春烈火燃烧永恒，让生命闪电划过天边，用所有热情换回时间，让年轻的梦没有终点!我非常欣赏《烈火青春》里面的这段话，并一直用它激励自己的学习、工作和生活。我认为，青春就应该燃烧，发出亮光才有价值!人的一生可能燃烧也可能腐朽，既然这样，我不愿腐朽，也不能腐朽，我愿意燃烧起来!在座的朋友们!你们愿意吗?

青春，是我们一生中最美丽的季节，她孕育着早春的生机，展现着盛夏的热烈，暗藏着金秋的硕实，昭示着寒冬的希望，充满诗意而不缺乏拼搏的激情，时尚浪漫而又饱含着奋斗的艰辛。当一个人的青春融汇到一个时代、一份事业中，这样的青春就不会远去，而这份事业也必将在岁月的历练中折射出耀眼的光芒。

说到这里，我想起了这样一句话：“有的人活着，他已经死了;有的人死了，他还活着。”生命的意义在于活着，那么活着的意义又是什么呢?当然不是为了活着而活着，答案只有两个字，奉献!我们可以设想一下，不付出、不创造、不追求，这样的青春必然在似水年华中渐渐老去，回首过往，没有痕迹，没有追忆，人生四处弥漫着叹息。我想，这绝对不是我们存在的意义。

古往今来，有无数能人志士在自己的青春年华就已经成就了不朽的人生，在这里我来不及一一列举。可是，有一个人的名字我却不能不提，他是我们永远的学习榜样，一个最平凡最无私也是最伟大的人。大家知道他是谁吗?这个传奇人物就是雷锋，他告诫我们说：“青春啊，永远是美好的，可是真正的青春，只属于那些永远力争上游的人，永远忘我劳动的人，永远谦虚的人!”我想在座的每一位包括我自己都可以成为这样的人。

说实话，三年前，我刚来工作的时候也有过失落和茫然，感觉现实不尽如人意，感觉离曾经的梦想总是有一些距离，一度陷入困惑之中。可是，青春的我是一把刚铸好的刀，不容得你有片刻的等待和迟疑。我决不能眼睁睁看着这把刀慢慢氧化，失去光泽，随即斑驳、锈蚀、风化，最后成为一块废铁。我告诉自己，“只要你是金子，就能放光，只要你斗志昂扬的面对生活、面对工作，你就会有所获得。”路漫漫其修远兮，吾将上下而求索。青春是学习的季节，青春是奋斗的岁月，不要停止我们前进的步伐，因为青春的路正长。有空的时候静下心来好好看看书，回头想想自己走过的路，为自己的人生做好一个规划，把自己的理想铭刻在心中，做一个甘于寂寞，敢于创新、干劲十足的年青人。

我们选择了xx厂，从某种意义上来说，就已经选择了奉献。远离了都市的繁华，城市的喧嚣，沉淀了心情，在这里驻足、扎根、守望。我们是失去一些东西，但我们没有失去最为宝贵的青春。我们也没有辜负自己的青春，我们正用汗水见证着成长，用奉献丈量着价值。在这片原本苍凉的盐碱地上，一批又一批的新同志变成了老同志，一座又一座新厂房是他们创造的新生命，闪亮着青春之花的人们在这里绽放，永不凋零。

大家好!

时光在沙漏中悄无声息地流逝。许多记忆已经变得模糊起来，但那段拼搏的时光却令我难以忘怀。

刚上七年级时，学校举行秋季运动会。可能是因为我长得比较高大健壮，同学们推荐我加入班里的4X100米接力阵容。其实，他们是以貌取人了，我的100米成绩只是比一般同学略好一点。但当时不知是出于自尊心，还是什么原因，我居然答应了。可答应了，我就有点后悔。好在还有一个多月的时间，我决心拼搏一下。

每天清晨，我被那讨厌的闹钟叫醒，在晨曦中奔跑，一圈又一圈;每天傍晚，我在学校操场上像时钟的钟摆一样，重复着同一个动作，一圈又一圈。练习了一段时间后，我的耐力上来了，不像一开始那么气喘吁吁了，脚步也变得轻快有力了。在和队友们的比拼中，我的100米冲刺成绩也不落下风。可接下来遇到的问题，却令我始料未及，大伤脑筋。

大家知道，4X100米接力是一个团体项目，不是4名队员100米成绩好，你就一定能取得好成绩，更重要的是做到配合默契。配合默契就是交接棒顺利，在最短的时间完成交接棒。在和队友合练时，无论是交棒还是接棒，我都是最差的，不是跑出交接棒区，就是致命的掉棒。更关键的是，训练了几天，我却没有一点长进。我分明看到了队友们眼中抱怨的目光，我想到了放弃。一连几天，运动场上没有了我奔跑的身影，我的情绪低落到了极点，我的生活也变得暗淡无光。可妈妈的一句话“爱拼才会赢”使我重拾信心。在家里，我看着田径大赛录像用短擀面杖和爸爸尝试着交接棒，调整自己的步伐节奏，体会着交接棒的技术细节，不断增强自己的信心。在学校，我在队友们质疑的目光中，踏上了跑道，接棒、交棒一气呵成，毫不拖泥带水，大家向我投来赞许的目光。

比赛当天，我跑最后一棒。当看到第三棒队友向我跑来时，我紧张得全身都要僵硬了，我长吐一口气，拼了!我摆好冲刺的姿势，回忆交接棒的细节。当接力棒打在我向后伸出的右手掌时，我的激情和动力被完全调动起来了，我就像一只脱缰的野马，奋力向前冲去，耳边风声呼呼，第一个冲过终点。

在同学们的欢呼声中，我躺在终点线上，享受着拼搏带来的成功喜悦，浮想起了那一个多月来一天天拼搏的美好的时光。

同样，你的希望、雄心、计划和未竟之事都将终止。曾经无比重要的成败得失也将褪色。

你来自哪里，用什么样的方式生活都不重要了。

你是貌美如花还是才华横溢也不重要了。你的性别、肤色、种族都无关紧要了。

那什么变得重要了呢?你有生之日的价值怎样来衡量呢?

重要的不是你所买到的，而是你所创造的。

重要的不是你所得到的，而是你所付出的。

重要的不是你的成功，而是你的价值。

重要的不是所学到的，而是你所传授的。

重要的是你的每一次正直、怜悯、勇敢和牺牲之行为能够使人充实，让人强大或能够激励他人，让他们以你为榜样。

重要的不是你的能力，而是你的性格。

重要的不是你认识多少人，而是在你离开时，有多少人感到这是永久的损失。

重要的不是你的记忆，而是爱你的人的记忆。

重要的不是你为人所怀念的时间有多长，重要的是谁在怀念你，重要的是他们为什么怀念你。
